Venue

The congress will be hosted in the Gothia Towers Hotel. All scientific sessions will take place in Hall F, located on the 2nd floor.

If you are not staying in the hotel, please enter via the middle tower and take the stairs or elevators up one floor. ESSO 44 signage will guide you to the congress areas.

Registration and Badge Collection

One week before the congress, you will receive an email with the badge barcode. With this barcode, you can print your badge onsite at one of the self check-in kiosks. A reminder email with the barcode will be sent again on Tuesday, 14 October.

Badge pick-up will be available during the following times:

  • Tuesday, 14 October: 16:00 – 18:00 (self check-in near Room R2, 2nd floor)
  • Wednesday, 15 October: 07:30 – 18:00 (self check-in Hall F)
  • Thursday, 16 October: 07:30 – 18:00 (self check-in Hall F)
  • Friday, 17 October: 07:30 – 12:00 (self check-in Hall F)

We kindly advise you to collect your badge as early as possible. Wednesday and Thursday mornings, as these are expected to be peak hours.

Networking Events

ESSO 44 offers two events to connect with colleagues and peers in a more informal setting.

Welcome Reception – Get Together
Date: Wednesday, 15 October | Time: 18:15 – 19:15 | Location: Exhibition Hall

This event, supported by the City of Gothenburg and Region Västergötland, is free of charge but requires registration. You can add it to your congress registration via the registration portal if you have not done it already.

  • ESSO Networking Evening
    Date: Thursday, 16 October | Time: 19:30 – 3:00 | Venue: Kooperativet Lindholmen

    Registration fee: €85 (€65 for young physicians under 40 years old)

    The evening includes a welcome drink, two drink coupons, a variety of food truck–style dining options, and a performance by an ABBA tribute act. Registration is available via the registration portal until 7 October.

Catering

Coffee, tea, and water will be available throughout the congress. During coffee breaks, sandwiches and baked goods will be offered.

Please note that lunch is not included in the congress registration.

A limited number of lunches will be provided during sponsored lunch symposia, and a wide selection of restaurants is also available within the hotel.

Certificates of attendance and accreditation.

All delegates who registered and attended the congress will receive their certificate of attendance in the week following the event.

The ESSO 44 Congress has been accredited by the UEMS-EACCME for a maximum of 16.5 CME credits, allocated as follows:

– Wednesday, 15 October 2025 – 7.0 credits
– Thursday, 16 October 2025 – 6.5 credits
– Friday, 17 October 2025 – 3.0 credits

You will be able to generate your CME certificate by completing the feedback form, which will be sent to you in the weeks after the congress.
